Kevin Durant Copies LeBron James by Tackling Fan Who Hit $20,000 Half-Court Shot (Video)

There have been no dramatic half-court shots hit during the NCAA Tournament, so an Oklahoma City Thunder fan had to step up in March Madness’ absence.

As long as we’re comparing Justin Dougherty‘s dramatic $20,000 shot to March Madness, that makes Kevin Durant the walk-on benchwarmer whose sole responsibility is to celebrate as much as possible. Durant jumped on Dougherty and tackled him after the fan hit the MidFirst Bank half-court shot.

Durant was following in LeBron James‘ footsteps with his jump and tackle. The Heat star pulled the same move when a fan hit a $75,000 shot in January in Miami (apparently half-court shots are worth far more in Miami).

Watch Dougherty and Durant’s “Rocky and Apollo on the beach in Rocky III” moment in the video below.
