Call it “Manny Jr. being Manny.”
Manny Ramirez Jr. is making a name for himself in Florida, as the IMG Academy senior is tearing the cover off the ball.
The son of the former MLB slugger stands in at 6-foot-4, 200-pounds and is ranked 249th nationally in the 2013 class. He’s signed to play at Central Arizona Community College next year and seems to have all the tools to follow his old man into the MLB.
As Yahoo! Sports’ Prep Rally blog points out, Manny Jr. posted a .522 batting average and 15 RBIs to go with nine runs scored en route to IMG’s recent Cleats Sports Classic Invitational title.
Check out a quick piece on Manny Jr. from last summer in the video below.
