Mike Napoli Tested Early at First Base, Credits Work on Back Fields for Comfort on Defense (Video)

Mike Napoli saw his first action of the spring on Friday — and almost immediately was tested at first base.

Napoli’s making somewhat of a transition while in Fort Myers. Although he’s played first base before, this year he’ll likely be asked to play the position more regularly than he ever has before. So he’s been putting in his work on the back fields, adjusting his footwork and positioning, to get acclimated for the year ahead.
