This time, the Bruins didn’t waste a three-goal lead. The first line made sure of that.

Nathan Horton, David Krejci and Milan Lucic played arguably their best game of the season Saturday, leading the B’s over Washington in a physical, entertaining game at the TD Garden. Horton recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick during a fight-filled game, but it was the play of the first line as a whole that really sparked Boston to the W.
