Penguins Lineup Consists of 10 Former First-Round Picks With Acquisition of Jarome Iginla

The Penguins were in really good shape before they started adding really good players to its already really good lineup.

But this is really ridiculous.

As brought to attention by NHL public relations, the Pens now have 10 players who were NHL first-round draft picks, after adding former Calgary forward Jarome Iginla late Wednesday night.

  • Defenseman Brooks Orpik (Pittsburgh, No. 18, 2000)
  • Defenseman Matt Niskanen (Dallas, No. 28, 2005)
  • Defenseman Simon Despres (Pittsburgh, No. 30, 2009)
  • Left winger Brenden Morrow (Dallas, No. 25, 1997)
  • Center Brandon Sutter (Carolina, No. 11, 2007)
  • Center Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh, No. 1, 2005)
  • Center Evgeni Malkin (Pittsburgh, No. 2, 2004)
  • Right winger Beau Bennett (Pittsburgh, No. 20, 2010)
  • Right winger Jarome Iginla (Dallas, No. 11, 1995)
