Luis SuarezPepe Reina admits he feels privileged to play on the same team as Luis Suarez.

No. 7 shot to the top of the Barclays Premier League leading goalscorers’ list after his hat trick at Wigan Athletic on Saturday took his tally to 21 in the division and 28 overall.

Reina believes Suarez’s ability to find the back of the net on a consistent basis, coupled with his capacity to create numerous chances for his teammates, makes him a unique proposition in attack.

“Liverpool are very lucky to have Luis,” said Reina. “Every day I am proud to say that I share a dressing room with such a big player. He is 100 percent all the time.

“He can create the chances himself from nothing. He can be a killer in the box. But he can also provide assistance to the team and be involved all the time. He is not just a proper striker in the box. He looks to create.”

Meanwhile, Reina believes Liverpool’s recent form bodes well for a bright future under Brendan Rodgers.

The Reds have won their last three games, scoring 12 goals in the process, and the LFC goalkeeper feels the team is heading into the final straight of 2012-13 in the perfect manner.

“We are going into the last 10 games with a positive feeling. We feel we are in the right way,” Reina said. “This year has been important for us in terms of getting to know what the manager wants and develop the ideas.

“We have to be ready for the very first game of next season to challenge. We know the ideas and philosophies of the manager. It is getting better and better so hopefully we will be ready to compete.”
