Last season, the Red Sox fielded the worst starting rotation in the American League East. Injuries and inconsistency doomed the Sox hurlers in last year’s disappointing campaign, but the staff is healthy and ready to go as spring training begins to wind down.
Boston’s starting pitching should be much improved in 2013, but it won’t be the best in the division — at least according to The Boston Globe’s Nick Cafardo. The longtime baseball writer joined NESN Daily on Monday to rank each AL East team by rotation, with the Blue Jays taking top honors after bringing in All-Stars R.A. Dickey, Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle this offseason.
