Aqib TalibAqib Talib appears to be staying in Foxboro another season.

The Patriots cornerback has agreed to a one-year deal that will keep him in New England, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. NFL Network’s Albert Breer reports that the contract is worth $5 million.

Also according to Breer, Talib was courted by three other teams and had a multiyear offer on the table from New England before agreeing on the one-year deal.

In six games with the Patriots in 2012, Talib recorded 21 combined tackles and had one interception. This signing, in conjunction with Kyle Arrington‘s new four-year deal and free agent Adrian Wilson‘s new contract with the Pats, should solidify the New England secondary heading into 2013.
