One of the pillars of college hockey is reportedly calling it a career.
According to ESPN’s John Buccigross, Boston University head coach Jack Parker will announce his retirement Monday after four decades behind the Terriers bench.

Since taking the reins of the BU program in 1973, Parker has led the Terriers to 32 winning seasons, seven Hockey East championships and three national titles, with the most recent coming after the 2008-09 season. His 894 victories are the most ever by a coach at a single school, and rank third all-time behind Boston College’s Jerry York and former Michigan State coach Ron Mason.
BU finished the 2012-13 regular season as the No. 3 seed in Hockey East and will host Merrimack in the conference quarterfinals beginning on Friday.
