Lakers say Bryant is "out indefinitely."

Bryant came down awkwardly on his left foot after going up for a potential game-tying jumper with less than five seconds remaining in L.A.’s 96-92 loss to the Hawks on Wednesday. He remained down on the court for an extended period of time before walking off under his own power.
Losing Bryant for any significant amount of time would be devastating for the Lakers, who seemed to finally be coming around after a disastrous start to the season. They currently hold a half-game lead on Utah for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
