The Patriots have been having ongoing talks with many free agents in the 2013 offseason, and their latest agreement involves linebacker Niko Koutouvides.
Koutouvides, who has been with the Pats since 2011, has signed a one-year deal to stick with Bill Belichick and staff, according to Albert Breer of NFL Network. The details of the contract are currently undisclosed.
Over the course of his 10-year career, Koutouvides has totaled 164 tackles and one forced fumble in 125 games. In the 2012 season, Koutouvides recorded 4 tackles in 14 games.
