Wes Welker, Yeremiah BellNext season Wes Welker will have one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history throwing to him. But it appears it’s up to him to decide which one.

The Welker “sweepstakes” are down to the Patriots and Broncos, according to Bill Simmons of Grantland.com. You could do worse than deciding between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

Before you discredit the report because of the source, our friend Nick Underhill from MassLive.com made a good point on Twitter: Simmons did break the Randy Moss trade to Minnesota in 2010.

The Broncos have a need in the slot. Brandon Stokley manned that position well in 2012, but he’s 36 years old and certainly on his last legs. Can you picture Welker in orange and navy?
