Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are the winning-est coach and quarterback tandem in NFL history, so calling them the best ever wouldn’t be much too much of a stretch. And that’s just what Robert Kraft did.

Kraft, who along with Belichick is out at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Ariz., this week, joined NBC Sports Pro Football Talk crew on Tuesday and let his feelings be known about his head coach and quarterback.

“I don’t think there’s been one in the history of the NFL — I think we’re privileged to have, probably, the finest coach and the finest quarterback, and we happen to have them at the same time,” Kraft said. “It’s going to be hard to win continuously without a good coach and a good quarterback. Next season, please God, will be our 20th season. And we’ve hired two coaches in that time — two head coaches — and we’ve had two quarterbacks start for our team in those 20 seasons.”

The high praise for both Brady and Belichick likely stems from the 136 wins, 10 playoff appearances, five Super Bowl berths and three Lombardi Trophies they’ve managed over the past 13 seasons. But that success also comes with a high level of professionalism, which Kraft and his family pride themselves on.

Fortunately for Kraft, Brady’s new contract will keep him around for at least another five seasons and Belichick is likely to stick around too.
