Stephen Drew Glad to Be Back on Field While Red Sox Mull Opening Day Options (Video)

If, like Stephen Drew, you’ve never had a concussion before, it can be a really scary thing.

Drew admits he barely even knew what the symptoms of a concussion were before being struck in the head with a pitch this spring. After a couple days he expected the worst to go away, but when problems lingered he began to wonder what was going on.

Luckily, after seeing improving symptoms and undergoing a battery of tests from brain injury experts, Drew has been cleared to resume baseball activities, and on Friday went through workouts with his teammates. Nonetheless, the Red Sox still have some decisions to make about Opening Day throughout their lineup, so check out the video above to see NESN Daily‘s report on the state of Boston baseball.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
