The Bruins’ 3-2 loss to Pittsburgh came just 24 hours after the B’s took a win home from Ottawa, but head coach Claude Julien won’t blame fatigue for his team’s late-game struggles against the Penguins.
“Some major breakdowns in our play resulted in three goals,” Julien told Naoko Funayama during Ace Ticket Presents Bruins Overtime LIVE. “I don’t think we have anyone to blame but ourselves. … Everyone plays back-to-backs, and if we’re tired then it doesn’t bode well for our hockey club. It certainly wasn’t the issue, I think it was more about that we didn’t do the right things at the right times and it ended up costing us.”
