Zdeno Chara Takes Advantage of Open Lane to Net Fourth Goal of Season (Video)

The Bruins’ offensive attack went cold in the final two periods of Tuesday night’s overtime loss to the Capitals, but the B’s lit the lamp on three occasions in the first.

A pair of those goals came off the sticks of the Boston blueliners, with rookie Dougie Hamilton scoring on a rocket from the top of the zone and Zdeno Chara exploiting a seam in the Washington defense to hammer a rebound past goalie Braden Holtby. It was the big man’s fourth tally of the season, and the first since his spectacular “spin-o-rama” goal against Florida.
