Masters GolfOne of life’s great mysteries has been solved.

It’s common knowledge that a mixture of iced tea and lemonade is named for one of the greatest golfers of all time: Arnold Palmer. The fact that Palmer is one of the few living men to have a common drink named after him has certainly not been lost, and it was in fact poked fun at in a pretty epic “This is SportsCenter” commercial a few years back.

However, it remained something of a mystery how Palmer actually ordered his drink until Tuesday. Does Palmer ask for a “me”? Does he just tell his server to mix iced tea and lemonade? Does he already expect everyone to know what his drink order is?

Well, thanks to one enterprising journalist for the Cranford Chronicle, now we know.

Palmer was at Augusta National on Tuesday, likely playing a practice round and preparing for his role in kicking off The Masters by hitting a first shot on Thursday. Journalist Steve Politi actually tracked down Palmer’s server, Kelsey, and asked how Palmer asks for his drink.

“He leaned over and said, ‘I’ll have a Mr. Palmer,'” said Kelsey. “Then he winked.”

Just as charming as we might expect. Check one off of the list of life’s great mysteries.
