Arsenal to Honor Boston Marathon Victims, Observe Minute’s Silence Before Premier League Game With Everton

The impact of the Boston Marathon tragedy has been felt around the world.

On Tuesday, Arsenal will remember the victims by observing a moment of silence at Emirates Stadium in London before its Premier League game with Everton. The tribute to the Boston victims will be held in conjunction with the observation of theĀ 24th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, according to the Mail.

Arsenal and Everton players will wear black armbands during the game, as will the referee and his crew.

Three people were killed and more than 140 injured when two consecutive explosionsĀ occurredĀ near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday.

On Monday night, moments of silence were held before sporting events around North America. The practice will continue at venues near and far, as the city and the world come to grips with the tragic events.
