David Ortiz Begins Rehab Stint in Pawtucket, Expected Back With Red Sox Within Two Weeks (Video)

Big Papi is almost back.

David Ortiz begins the final leg of his rehab Thursday night at Triple-A Pawtucket, and Red Sox manager John Farrell is hopeful that the slugger will be back in the lineup for Boston by the time the team returns from Cleveland next weekend. Ortiz hasn’t played in a major league game since injuring his Achilles nearly eight months ago.

Peter Gammons joined Tom Caron on Red Sox Gameday Live Presented by DCU to discuss the designated hitter’s recovery efforts. See what they had to say in the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
