Jon Lester Pays Tribute to Boston Marathon Tragedy Victims With Heartfelt Tweet Following Thursday’s Win

Jon Lester and the Red Sox have looked motivated since spring training, but Monday’s Boston Marathon tragedy has placed some extra meaning on this season.

Lester turned in another solid performance on Thursday, allowing just two earned runs in seven innings while winning his third game of the year. Shortly after the Red Sox’ victory, Lester took to Twitter and explained that the victims of Monday’s attack were on his mind throughout his start.
