Matt Hasselbeck was hoping for his No. 8 jersey when signing with the Indianapolis Colts last month. But first, he would have to convince teammate Chandler Harnish.

Harnish, who served as a backup to starter Andrew Luck last season, wore No. 8 as a rookie  in 2012 but worked out a wager with Hasselbeck to see who got the jersey.

Instead of pulling seniority to get the jersey, Hasselbeck challenged that if Harnish could hit a half-court shot then he would donate $8,000 to a charity of Harnish’s choice in exchange for the number. No problem for Harnish.

The Colts backup, best known for being Mr. Irrelevant in the 2012 NFL draft, nailed the shot on his first try and earned that $8,000 donation from Hasselbeck.

Check out the video below to see the wager and Harnish’s shot.
