Mets’ John Buck Launches Grand Slam Against Twins, Raises League-Leading RBI Total to 19 (Video)

John Buck is looking like he’ll fit in just fine in Queens.

The former Marlin has been absolutely demolishing the baseball in his first season with the Mets. Buck has hit safely in nine of his first 10 games, batting a whopping .382 and tying Baltimore’s Chris Davis for the major league lead in both home runs (six) and RBIs (19).

The latest of those long balls came Friday night in Minnesota — a grand slam into Target Field’s second deck. According to Major League Baseball, the catcher is the first player in MLB history to record 19 RBIs in his first 10 games with a new team.
