John FarrellĀ announced it was a planned day off for Jose Iglesias, but surely getting beaned in the arm and having to come out of Friday night’s game didn’t hurt the decision to give Pedro Ciriaco his first start of the season at shortstop.

Shane Victorino is hitting in the two hole after Daniel Nava had that honor for two straight games. With lefty J.A. Happ on the mound, Jonny Gomes get the start at designated hitter, while David Ross gets his second start at catcher in place of Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
