Phil Kessel was drafted No. 5 overall by the Bruins in 2005.

The Madison, Wis., product scored 126 points during three seasons with the Bruins with 66 goals and 60 assists. His contributions on the ice may not be what he’ll be best known for historically in Boston, though.

The B’s traded Kessel to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2009 and received a 2010 first-round pick, 2010 second-round pick and a 2011 first-round pick. With those selections, Boston drafted Tyler Seguin, Jared Knight and Dougie Hamilton — advantage: Bruins.
