The last time a team wore letterman jackets to Boston for a pro sports game, it didn’t work out too well for the boys in the jackets. The Tampa Bay Rays are going to try and change that around.
Tampa manager Joe Maddon tweeted Monday that the club’s “first themed dress trip of the season” will see the team wearing letterman jackets on their trip from Texas to Boston.
If you recall, that didn’t work out so well for the Houston Texans, who did the same thing when traveling to New England to take on the Patriots this past season. The Texans were routed by the Pats 42-14 on Monday Night Football back in Week 14.
