The Red Sox haven’t started their seasons very well in the recent past, so a chance to begin 2013 with a winning streak is certainly a tantalizing one. That it would come against the Yankees, well, that’s just icing on the cake.
Boston could start the season 2-0 for the first time since the ’90s on Wednesday night, if they can get past Hiroki Kuroda and the Bronx Bombers. Considering how hapless the Yanks looked on Opening Day, there’s certainly room to feel optimistic about the Sox’ chances.
