Red Sox to Honor Newtown, Conn. Victims, on Opening Day With Patch on Jerseys

The Newtown, Conn., shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School took place after the MLB season, but the Red Sox and Major League Baseball are doing their part in honoring the victims of the tragedy to open up the season.

On Opening Day, all MLB on-field personnel will wear a Newtown ribbon patch on their jerseys. The patch features 26 stars, one for each victim. Check out the patch in the photo below.
