Bobby ValentineBobby Valentine will once again follow in Terry Francona‘s footsteps.

Valentine is coming out with a book that will give “his perspective on last season with the Red Sox,” according to the Boston Herald. The book of baseball memoirs reportedly will be called “Valentine’s Way.”

Valentine reportedly signed a deal with the publishing company Simon & Schuster, and he’ll be writing the book with sports journalist Brad Lefton, who covers baseball in Japan. Valentine, of course, spent time managing in Japan before returning to the United States as a baseball analyst and eventually as manager of the Red Sox.

Given the overall feelings surrounding the Bobby V. era, during which the Sox went 69-93, the book could be worth a read. Francona’s book turned some heads, and perhaps Valentine’s will do the same.

Regardless of the book’s content, though, they couldn’t pick a better name?
