Lane JohnsonThe top of the 2013 NFL draft is starting to clear up a little.

Three offensive tackles will be off the board in the top seven picks, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. The top three rated tackles in this class are Luke Joeckel of Texas A&M, Eric Fisher of Central Michigan and Lane Johnson of Oklahoma. Joeckel and Fisher were expected to be top five or 10 picks, but Johnson’s status as a surefire top seven pick is new.

Johnson is a former junior college quarterback and tight end. He transferred to Oklahoma in 2009 and started his FBS career as a tight end and defensive end before moving to offensive tackle in 2011. At 6-foot-6, 303 pounds, Johnson showed freak athleticism during the scouting combine by running a 4.72 second 40-yard dash, 4.52 second 20-yard shuttle and 7.31-second 3-cone drill.
