Tracy McGradyThe only thing more surprising than seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady signing with the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday may have been the realization that McGrady is still only 33 years old.

McGrady will join the Spurs for the rest of the season including the playoffs, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports. The 15-year veteran, who has been out of the league since appearing in 52 games with the Atlanta Hawks last season, is playoff eligible because he was not on an NBA roster this season.

The Spurs need wing help since they released veteran swingman Stephen Jackson last week. Knee injuries have robbed McGrady of his former athleticism, but he showed last season in Atlanta that he can still provide solid play in short stretches.
