Report: Tyrann Mathieu Told NFL Coach He ‘Quit Counting at 10′ With Number of Failed Drug Tests

Tyrann MathieuTyrann Mathieu is one of the most interesting prospects heading into the 2013 NFL draft.

Mathieu, who was banned from the LSU football team in August for violating multiple drug policies, has told one NFL coach that he lost count on how many drug tests he failed in college, according to an anonymous NFL assistant coach who spoke with Jarrett Bell of USA Today.

“I quit counting at 10,” Mathieu reportedly said. “I really don’t know.”

The 5-foot-9 cornerback has previously stated that his days with marijuana are over. Mathieu will continue his 2013 NFL pre-draft tour with the Arizona Cardinals on Friday.

Mathieu recorded 133 total tackles, four interceptions, 11 forced fumbles and six sacks in his two-year stay with LSU.
