The Green Monster seats are the best in baseball, but they can also be the most dangerous seats in sports if you’re not paying close attention. Sun Sports’ Rays reporter Kelly Nash almost learned that the hard way, and she has an amazing photo to prove it.

While in Boston working on a story for an Inside the Rays feature over the weekend, the reporter had some time to kill, so she made her way to the top of Fenway Park’s big left field wall during batting practice prior to the Astros-Red Sox game. But she wasn’t up there to shag home run balls — she was up there for selfies.

“I was taking a picture of myself in the seats above the Green Monster during Red Sox batting practice,” she told Fox Sports. “Producer Art Dryce had called out ‘heads up!’ a few times while I was taking pictures around the left field section, but none of those balls actually fell close to me, so I took my chances turning my back on batting practice for a picture.

“My whole family is from Massachusetts, and I knew they would be so excited to see me working at Fenway Park, and when I went to text them the picture I noticed the baseball by my head!”
