Rick Pitino is a man of his word.

Pitino promised the Louisville Cardinals that he would get a tattoo if they won the national title. Surprisingly, after the team won it all, Pitino didn’t back down, promising to fulfill his obligation. A few days later, Pitino said he would get a cardinal and an inscription noting his team as the 2013 national champs.

Now, finally, the long wait is over, and Pitino’s new tat has been revealed.

Posting shirtless with the national championship trophy in the foreground, the 60-year-old Pitino showed off the tattoo — which is actually Louisville’s “L” logo, and not a cardinal. It should also be noted that Pitino seems to have a lot of freckles on his body.
