Royals Ball Boy Interferes With Blue Jays’ Rajai Davis in Attempt to Catch Foul Ball (Video)

“I got it” is a common phrase used to call off a teammate from making a catch on the diamond, but when the person calling it isn’t a teammate, it can become a little bewildering.

In the bottom of the seventh inning of Friday night’s game between Kansas City and Toronto, Blue Jays outfielder Rajai Davis was tracking down a foul ball. Little did he know there was a Royals ball boy alongside him waiting for the same baseball. Davis, who has been known to make remarkable running catches, nearly collided with the ball boy down the right-field line.

The ball boy received a few cheers from the Kauffman Stadium crowd after the ball dropped in foul ground. Check out the play in the video below.
