Russ Smith, Ben McLemore Enter NBA Draft After Historic, All-American Seasons

Russ SmithRuss Smith and Ben McLemore are taking their explosive talents to the NBA.

Smith, who is also referred to as “Russdiculous,” confirmed his father’s comments about moving on from Louisville to the NBA on SiriusXM Radio with Bruce Pearl and Mark Packer following Monday’s championship victory.

The all-around player averaged 18.7 points, 2.9 assists and 3.3 rebounds in his second year with the Cardinals.

McLemore, who was a five-star recruit before arriving at Kansas, will also take his shooting mechanics to the pro level. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard addressed the media on Tuesday to make it official.

McLemore averaged 15.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and two assists in his freshman season.

Smith and McLemore join Victor Oladipo as Tuesday’s college departures.
