Michigan freshman Spike Albrecht had himself a coming out party during the National Championship Game, playing so well he thought he could try his luck with Sports Illustrated cover girl Kate Upton.
Albrecht rained 3-pointers off the bench during the first half of the NCAA Tournament championship game against Louisville after National Player of the Year Trey Burke went down with two fouls. Albrecht finished with 17 points and was 4-of-5 from beyond the arch. He thought that was a good enough performance to try and pick up one of the world’s most successful models.
@kateupton hey saw you at the game last night, thanks for coming out! Hope to see you again ?
Taking a page from Darnell Dockett’s playbook, eh? Spike’s performance was great, especially for a freshman, but I don’t know if it was that good — better luck next time, kid.
