Jaromir Jagr is 41 years old, but didn’t look it at the TD Garden. Tuukka Rask isn’t quite as old, but made just one fewer save than Jagr has years while recording a shutout victory.
The B’s newest addition looked right at home alongside Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand, scoring in the second period and celebrating not with his trademark salute, but instead with a more important victory. While the salute might come later, the Bruins will welcome any and all goals — especially when they turn into wins.
With Jagr’s goal and Rask’s 40 saves leading the way, the Bruins beat the Devils 1-0 Thursday night. For their unique numeral quirks, NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is awarding the two our “40-40 Club” player of the game. Who’s yours?
