Bill Cowher would be a scary father-in-law.
That’s the fate that Duke forward Ryan Kelly faces. He tweeted the good news that he got engaged to the former Pittsburgh head coach’s daughter, Lindsay, on Thursday.
Cowher played basketball for Wofford College as a freshman in 2009-10. She attended Ravenscroft School (which, contrary to how it sounds, is not part of Harry Potter lore) in Raleigh, N.C., with Kelly. Kelly was a senior at Duke in 2012-13, and could be selected in next month’s NBA draft.
Kelly averaged 12.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 blocks per game as a senior. Duke lost in the Elite Eight to Louisville this season.
