Bruins’ Depth Pays Off Against Rangers As ‘Big Bear’ Team Effort Propels Boston Into Eastern Conference Final (Video)

The Bruins looked to be in trouble early in their Eastern Conference semifinal series. With Dennis Seidenberg and Andrew Ference falling victim to injury, the B’s were forced to turn to their young defensemen to carry the load. Boy, did they do just that.

Torey Krug emerged as a cult hero for Boston and everybody stepped up for the B’s, as they prevailed four games to one over the New York Rangers. Tuukka Rask was strong in goal throughout, every forward line contributed and Boston is moving on to the next round as a result.

NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is awarding Krug our “Big Bear” player of the game award in honor of how big the 22-year-old played in the series. Who gets yours?
