College Baseball Player Catches Squirrel in Helmet After Critter Runs Onto Field (Video)

Animals seem to have a knack for finding their way onto baseball fields from time to time, but so rarely is a player as ready to react as Wichita State’s Tyler Baker was.

A squirrel ventured into the infield with Baker standing on second base, and the quick-thinking Baker was able to corral the critter into his helmet and carry it safely out of play. Wichita State went on to lose the game 1-0 in extra innings, but Baker’s play is likely to go down as the biggest win for the Shockers.
