Before David Ortiz was Big Papi, he was a Minnesota Twin. But, the Twins let him go, and he seems intent on reminding them of that mistake every time he faces his old squad.

Ortiz, a career .332 hitter against Minnesota pitching, added another couple twists of the metaphorical knife this weekend. Big Papi blasted two home runs on Saturday, marking the 42nd and 43rd homers against his former club. The first, a three-run shot, came off starter Scott Diamond in the opening frame, while the second was a solo blast against Anthony Swarzak in the seventh.

The Sox went on to win the game 12-5, and for the role they played in that victory, Ortiz’s home runs are a Ketel One Honorable Moment.
