Dee MillinerIt seems that no New York Jets prospect from this year’s draft is happy with where they wound up.

Following the lead of former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith, who fired his representation, Select Sports, after he fell to New York in the second round of the NFL draft, Dee Milliner has fired Impact Sport, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Milliner is expected to step in for since-traded Darrelle Revis at the cornerback position for the Jets.

Like Smith, Milliner’s decision to fire his agents is also based on his lower-than-expected draft position. Many draft trackers expected Milliner to be a Top 5 pick in this year’s draft, but he was selected No. 9 overall by the Jets.

Tony Fleming, Impact Sports’ lead man in representing Milliner, released a statement denying that he or the agency had anything to do with Milliner’s fall on the draft boards.

“I know that everything was done to ensure that Mr. Milliner would be drafted as high as possible,” Fleming said. “Dee was the first cornerback selected, and he was drafted ninth overall to the New York Jets. This is a tremendous accomplishment. I wish Mr. Milliner future success in his professional career.”
