Ezekial “Ziggy” Ansah made waves in the social media world at the 2013 NFL draft when he was seen wearing an interesting choice of eyewear as his name was called.

The Detroit Lions drafted the defensive end out of BYU with the fifth overall pick, and Ansah used the opportunity to make a fashion statement. When the cameras zoomed in on Ansah’s face, viewers noticed he was wearing 3D glasses with the lenses popped out with his suit and draft-day cap. Apparently, he saved the glasses from a 2011 screening of the movie Thor.

The seemingly innocent move has paid off for Ansah, as IMAX offered him free movies for a year for the free publicity. In part, the offer said, “We, at IMAX, couldn’t help but notice your keen sense of style at the NFL draft this year. You made quite a fashion statement with your 3D glasses. As a member of the Detroit Lions, you share our love for the color blue and we would like to add an IMAX silver lining for you — we would love the celebrate your first year in the NFL with the opportunity to see all IMAX 3D movies on us for the next year.”

Not a bad deal. Check out the photo below to see Ansah’s unique eye wear in action.
