Joel Hanrahan gave up a game-tying home run in the ninth inning of the Red Sox’ Monday night matchup against the Minnesota Twins. To make matters worse, Hanrahan left the game with right forearm tightness just after giving up the hit.
The Sox closer has already seen the disabled list this season, suffering from a hamstring issue in April, and it is certainly not the way Hanrahan saw the debut campaign with the Sox going. There has been no word yet on whether or not Monday night’s injury is enough to send Hanrahan to the DL again.
