Sebastian Coates, Pepe Reina and Luis Suarez have been selected in the respective provisional squads of Spain and Uruguay for this summer’s Confederations Cup.

The Liverpool stopper is one of three goalkeepers picked by coach Vicente del Bosque for the tournament, which kicks off next month.

Reigning world and European champions Spain begin the competition — to be held in Brazil — against Coates and Suarez’s Uruguay on June 16.

Reina and company then face Tahiti four days later before completing their Group B campaign against Nigeria on June 23.

Group A includes hosts Brazil, Italy, Japan and Mexico. The final will take place in Rio de Janeiro on the last day of June.
