Manti Te’o is now an NFL player, having been drafted by the San Diego Chargers, so we can all put that silly girlfriend hoax in the rear-view mirror, right?
Well, not so fast, as Te’o’s new local media wants to get in on the joke. Though much of the focus on Te’o of late has been on his middling showing at the NFL combine and his lower-than-expected draft position, now that he’s Chargers property, you can’t blame the San Diego Union-Tribune for taking its turn at humor at Te’o’s expense, right?
Well, that was certainly the thinking of the newspaper’s editorial cartoonist, Steve Breen. On Tuesday, Breen posted his newest work for the paper on his Twitter account, so if you’re still a fan of Lennay Kekua jokes, check out the image below.
