Rolling StonesWho knew the Stones keep up with the NBA?

Mick Jagger jumped in on the league-wide joke surrounding the Lakers this week when talking with USA Today about the Rolling Stones’ upcoming concert at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

While most basketball fans know that Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and the Lakers’ stash of supporting players well into their 30s aren’t exactly spring chickens, Jagger was also ready to make jokes at the purple-and-gold’s expense.

“The only reason we’re here is to make the Lakers look younger,” he said.

He has a point — although, considering the moves that Jagger and his pals can still bust on the stage, maybe the Lakers should sign these Brits up for the layup line.
