Nick YoungThe Philadelphia 76ers’ Nick Young has turned into a quality player on the court, averaging more than 10 points a game in three of the last four seasons. However, his life off the court may be becoming tumultuous.

Young has been accused of drugging and raping a woman in a lawsuit in 2011, according to TMZ. The woman, who filed her suit as Jane Doe, claims she woke up in Young’s bed bleeding, unable to remember the events of the previous night.

According to TMZ, Jane Doe says she met Young at the Crown Bar in West Hollywood. She says Young bought her and a friend a glass of champagne, and shortly after that point her memory cuts out.

The next morning, Young took the woman home, but from there she immediately went to the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, according to TMZ. There a rape kit confirmed that she had gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GBH) in her system, and that her injuries were consistent with rape. Jane Doe says she continues to undergo psychiatric evaluations.

Young, for his part, says he had consensual sex with the woman, but that he stopped when she passed out.

Jane Doe is suing Young for sexual battery, sexual assault and false imprisonment, among other charges. She is also suing Crown Bar for negligence. The amount she is seeking is unknown.
