In Saturday night’s Maple Leafs-Bruins matchup, there was a questionable hit midway through the third period that bloodied Daniel Paille‘s nose.
Paille was playing the puck along the boards when Toronto’s Dion Phaneuf delivered a high hit to the Bruins forward. There will be no hearing from the league on the hit, according to Renaud Lavoie of RDS.
When replayed in slow motion, it appeared Phaneuf’s shoulder hit Paille’s head, rather than his elbow. Phaneuf was not penalized for the hit.
