Phil JacksonPhil Jackson will not be taking his coaching talents to Brooklyn, according to a report.

On Tuesday evening, Yahoo! Sports NBA writer Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that Jackson had informed the Nets he has no interest in their coaching job. The 11-time NBA champion head coach was reported to be Brooklyn’s top target after dismissing P.J. Carlesimo.

Confirming a longstanding assumption, Wojnarowski reaffirmed that Jackson’s desire is to land a front office job where he would have full control over player moves. NBA.com’s David Aldridge supported this notion, saying that a source close to Jackson told him the Zen Master is “done with coaching.”

The Toronto Raptors seem to be the leading candidate to land Jackson’s services. For the Nets, Brian Shaw and Scott Skiles may be the team’s next coaching targets.
